UFC 140 Lyoto Machida vs Jon Jones

After Rashan Evans can't make it to the title fight against Jon Jones this coming december. Lyoto Machida will be the replacement on the title fight on the light heavyweight championship.  The fight will happen on December 10,201. The fight will also have a great under card match as Frank Mir goes up against Minotauro Nogueira and Tito Ortiz vs Rogerio Nogueira. When Jone Bone Jones will be tested once again and will defend his title against Lyoto Machida.

Results:

Tito Ortiz vs Rogerio Nogueira
Tito Ortiz was looking for a huge fight Knockout and he was aggressive as soon as the fight begins. But Only to get battered and be punished by Rogerio when both fighters collide. Ortiz was doing well in the early minutes as he tries to establish momentum. But when Nogueira caught him it was over. Ortiz tries to survive from the vicious body shots and elbows that Rogerio throws at him. It was just too much especially in the ribs area were Tito Ortiz has his injuries in there.

Frank Mir vs Minotauro Nogueira
This fight between both fighters won a award for submission of the night. When both fighters want to prove on there submission expertise. But it was Frank Mir who was successful in this defense converted to submission offense.

In the early minutes of the fight Frank Mir was having trouble with the strikes of Minotauro. Were in Minotauro combined good pucnhes and kicks to confuse Frank Mir. And Minotauro landed a solid punches the rocked Frank Mir. And as soon as Minotauro capitalizes he took down Frank Mir. And this was the turning point when Mir was able to establish his defense in the submission attack. Minotauro was looking to submit Frank Mir and both fighters were just rolling in the middle of the octagon. As soon as Frank Mir had a good grip and was able to complete the Kimura all Mir did was snap Minotauro's arm. Frank Mir broke Minotauro Nogueira's arm. And it was too late for Minotauro to tap out and then the referee stopped the fight declaring via submission.


Jon Bone Jones vs Lyoto Machida
Jone Bone Jones was successful in defending his title against Lyoto Machida via standing guillotine choke. In the first round Jon Jones was puzzled with Machida's attack and counter punches. And this leaves the champion confused as he got hit from almost all sorts of angles. To whatever he throws from punches to kicks Machida defends and evades them.

But in the second round when Jones was able to take down Machida. This time Jones landed a vicious elbow in the forehead of Machida that caused Machida to bleed and weaken down. And in a matter of seconds Jones made a standing guillotine that the referee interfered because Machida was already unconcious.

Frankie Edgar Defends his Title(UFC 136)

Frankie Edgar successfully defended his title over his opponent Gray Maynard. Frankie Edgar was in a bad shape but outwit the storm and did a great comeback.

Round 1:
Gray Maynard connected a solid uppercut that rocked Frankie Edgar. As Gray Maynard capitalized to the hurt champion and continued his swarm of attacks. Edgar was as thought as he was and was still standing after receiving serious blows and strikes from Maynard.

Gray Maynard also connected with a vicious knee that broke Frankie Edgar's nose late in the dying time of the first round. The first round belongs to Gray Maynard as the

busted and wounded face of Frankie Edgar was all he could have to end the round.
Round 2-3:
Frankie Edgar manage to be back in game as he finds and builds his rhythm via series of combo punches. Gray Maynard could not also capitalize and was not able to end the fight in both two rounds. Edgar manage to recover from round 1 and 2 and continues to show Maynard his boxing skills.

Round 4:
As the dying minutes of the fight Frankie Edgar landed a right upper cut after a failed take down that wobbled Gray Maynard. As Frankie Edgar realizes he hurt Maynard he then unleashed a series of furious blows that knocked Maynard Face first in the floor. And then the referee stopped the fight and declared Edgar as the winner.

Indeed it was a great and unbelievable comeback from the champion Frankie Edgar and he could have not have been more satisfied of the outcome of the fight.
